Welcome to the Solar Fresh Blog and thanks for visiting! I am looking forward to connecting with you in this new space where I will share farm updates, recipes, projects, ideas on how to use farm products, and more. Thanks for adding your comments at the end of the posts to help make this an interactive experience - I always love hearing from you! So why is it a new era at the farm? For starters, I am taking this season off of the standard CSA box packing in favor of a more farm-centered CSA model. There will be plenty of opportunities to get vegetables and connect with the farm and the community. Take a look at the letter on the about page for a more detailed explanation of this transition. What does this mean for you as a CSA member and friend of the farm? I am hoping to share the land with you that I have been fortunate enough to enjoy and caretake over the last 7 years in a way that is more authentic and of course delicious. You will still be able to get produce and more at the farm store on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting in the spring, and I am also planning to offer seasonal produce kits (pesto, salsa, etc.) and bulk sales for things like tomatoes and garlic. I will continue to offer value added products like herbs and pickles. There will also be a workshop series at the farm-- I will keep you posted as I fill out the events calendar. Check back to this blog and the farm store page for information about hours and products. These two pages will have the most up-to-date information. Without having weekly CSA boxes, I will use this blog in lieu of the weekly newsletter that is typically sent out on Wednesday. Please sign up for the Solar Fresh Email list (also on the about page) to be alerted about new blog posts, farm events, and product availability. I hope you will keep in touch and I look forward to seeing you at the farm this spring! What are you most excited to check out this season at the farm? Leave your comments/thoughts/ideas below! Sincerely, Sarah
