CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a direct partnership between farmer and CSA member that provides you with access to local, sustainable and seasonal produce throughout the growing season . Your financial investment at the beginning of the season allows me to invest in the supplies and materials like seeds, irrigation parts, harvest tools, packaging, and potting mix, and this helps ensure a successful harvest and bountiful CSA boxes. My Mission is to delight you and your family with nutritious food using indigenous farming methods. While I do everything possible to ensure the success of the garden, farming can be unpredictable and as a CSA member you share the bounty and share the risk!
CSA is also about making sure everyone has access to nutritious produce. Please consider a donation to the Member Fund to help subsidize a CSA share for a family in need. Alternatively, please let me know if you would benefit from a subsidized CSA share.
What Do I get as a shareholder?
I strive to deliver a high value weekly CSA share includinga detailed newsletter with produce descriptions, ideas, recipes, stories, photos and more. Most veggies are harvested the day of delivery based on what is ripe and in season so vegetables will vary from week to week with both interesting variety and familiar veggies. To ensure the highest quality produce, I utilize regenerative growing methods, a mix of hybrid and heirloom varieties, and careful harvest and washing practices. CSA members who pick up at the farm can enjoy watching the chickens free ranging and have access to the U-pick flower garden!
What are the CSA Share Sizes?
Full Veggie Share: One bushel or about two grocery bags each week. $640 for 19 weeks Half Veggie Share: Half bushel or about one grocery bag. $375 for 19 weeks
What is the member fund?
The Member Fund is a voluntary option to pay a little bit more for your share (whatever amount works for you) to help subsidize a fellow CSA member who is experiencing financial hardship. You can nominate a family or individual, or self identify as someone who would benefit from a subsidized CSA share. Member Fund dollars also help cover the costs of occasional farm fresh meals prepared for unhoused Minnesotans. Either include this in your payment via check or select one of the options below for the online payment option. Thank you for helping out our community members in need!
